Ya know, I do better when I have a menu going for each week. I do better when I make it ahead for the month and print it out. I do much better if I make a grocery list using what is in the pantry and then shopping as needed for my menu, which was created using the stuff I already had on hand.

I did much better when I did not have a tv. Now the children "hurry" to get their tv time in. I will do much better when DH finds a job so he is not home during our school time. Even though I do love having him home with us, it does make for a long day. Thankfully he has been out of the house lately helping some friends. Plus looking for work. He is so awesome.

I do much better when I think before I speak. I also do better when I think before I act.

I do much better when I think before I even write, or else you would have had a nicer, more thought out post, then this one:)

I do much better when I pray before I begin my day. I also do much better when I read my bible before I also start my day. Yesterday reminded me of that.

I do think I like blogging.

Drugs in our Drinking Water?

Can this really be true? Well, my friend it is very true. Among all the chemicals and garbage that is present. We have an alarming smell of chlorine in our water. Our water tastes just like it as well. Yes it has been tested and has been in their "safe" zone. But drugs such as Tylenol? Or say an antibiotic such as Amoxacilin? Are you kidding me. Well, this article is not kidding you. It's true.

A vast array of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones — have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.

First Love

Been on my mind a lot. What is your first love? Is it your husband? What about your children? Do I dare say, your computer or your tv? When you get up in the morning? Is your coffee the first thing you think about besides peeing?

Do you get up and read your bible each morning? I struggle badly on this. I really do. I know I should give my first quiet time to Him. Do you struggle to? I can go all day, I hate to admit before I even think about reading His precious words.

I want Christ as my first love. To do all things for Him. He has done so much for me, yet, I do so little for Him. Care to start with me? I am so thankful tomorrow is a new day!

Amen, I am so thankful for Christ!

We had a decent day, great and beautiful service at church this morning. Oh it was such a blessing! I had tears in my eyes, so not good when you are trying to shoot the thing. The song our song leader sang, oh my. That had me in tears as well. It was such a beautiful song, singing about the suffering our Lord and Saviour went through for us.

I have a few pictures to go through, I wanted to take more, but I was afraid I was making some folks aggravated with my camera so I kept it to a minimum.

Now the not so funny part,

Please remember to pray for our President, even if you did not vote for him, you still have to pray for him, for him to know Christ, that he will be saved and that he will not take away the rest of our Christian rights, like he did this week, he signed into law and I forget what the bill number it was, but if you get money from the government, like say the public schools, you can not have any sort of bible clubs before or after school. No religious (christian) activities on the school grounds. Remember though, they are allowed to learn about Muslim practices and that is actually IN the school books. Ladies, we really need to keep this man and our country in our prayers, pray extra for this man. We need to show him that Christians are real and that we love him and that God loves him, President Obama needs Christ.

So here it is, what I spent my day doing, in between meetings, and running to a natural food store, in which I will not likely go back to again. Prices are too high for rudeness.

I like fresh milled wheat, so I just take a big ol' scoop of the stuff and throw it

in the mill....

Gather the cast... Imagine 2 eggs in this cast. I forgot them. OOPs.. Sorry eggs....

I'll do better next time.

About done being milled.

On to the next thing,

You need good and warm water, aroundish 100 degree's. I never measure.

I figure if it warm to my skin but not hot I am good to go.

I just love making bread!

Usually I put the yeast in the water and then the honey and oil,

but I was nervous about this post. So I forgot. I added them after the

first 6 cups of flour.

I never measure exact unless I have to, so if no one is looking, just throw it in.

You should have the same amount of sugar or honey that your oil is,

So half a cup of oil equals a half a cup of sugar/honey. I always use honey in my bread.

Oh yea, we make half and half bread here, 6 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour

and 6 cups of whole wheat. You can mix it up. I won't tell.

This is where I remembered to throw the eggs in. Don't ask, put the eggs in.

Oh you want it to look like pancake batter at this point.

Turn off the machine. and put a top on it. I promise you, put the top on.

Let it sit for like a half hour.

I stopped it early. I wanted to show you what it looks like.

It is usually higher then this. Remember, I said to make sure you have the top on.

There is good reason. I promise.

I love the feel of fresh milled wheat flour. It just feels oh so nice.

You should try it sometime.

Now you want to add in 4-5 cups of flour, After, start putting it in slowly if

you are using a machine. YOu want the dough to clean the sides of the bowl.

Now we are going to knead it. Those without a machine,

put that tongue back in your mouth. Drool is not cool.

Hey I rhymed. Neat. Pete.

Never mind.

Machine people, 5-7 minutes is plenty of kneading.

Without machines, 10-14 minutes is good or should be good.

You want it to be stretchy. Sorry was not about to get flour ickyness on the camera.

Put the cover on while kneading too. I promise you. You want it.

Oil your hands and the counter/board you are using.

Just do it.

It's going to be a sticky mess, but sticky is good, but not way over board,

oil won't work sticky. Ok?

Now just drop the dough onto the oiled counter.

Feel free to touch it. I try and make it an even glop on the counter.

Now walk away from it.

It's tired and needs to rest for about 10 minutes.

It's had a nap and you are wishing you had one too.

Too bad.

If you ain't got one,

Get one.

Best tool in my kitchen, it dices and such. It's awesome

Divide the dough into 4's.

Flatten them

Roll them,

And put them into the pan for baby and me,

I just couldn't resist.

Shhh!!

They are sleeping.... About 30 minutes. Long enough to come and tease on twitter.

All awake and ready to pop in the oven.

350 for about 35 minutes.

Do not forget to oil your pans really well.... I think I should have said that earlier.

Sorry.

Can you smell them?

All baked, I did bake them a minute too long. I had a situation that could not be

helped.

Oh ok, I was indisposed.

Just a cooling away.

That was Yummy!

Recipe

4 1/2 cups of warm water

2 heaping tablespoons of instant yeast or 2 packets.

1/2 cup of honey or sugar

1/2 cup of oil

1/2 cup of dry milk

2 eggs

6 cups of flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt, put in after letting it rest or sponge on top for 30 minutes

4-6 cups more of flour as needed. Non machine 6 cups.

Add the first 6 ingredients, you want it like pancake batter, on speed 1. Liquids first.

Let it sit for like 30 minutes, putting something on top of the bowl.

Then add in 4-5 cups of flour, now add in flour in 1/4 c increments, you want the dough to no stick to the side of the bowl,

or clean the sides of the bowl. Sometimes I need just 4 cups sometimes I need more. No one is watching so just do what feels right.

Throw in the salt. It helps the dough from forming more gluten I am told. No idea. I usually always forget to throw it in.

Take it out of the bowl and let it rest for around 10 minutes, it is not a needed thing, so no worries if you don't do it ok?

Divide it up into as equal as you can get into 4 pieces.

Make each piece flat, roll it and tuck the ends under, put it into an already well oiled bread pan.

Do the same for the other 3 pieces.

Get a towel and lay it over for around 30 or so minutes, you want it to double in size.

Throw it in the oven at 350 for 35 minutes.

Take a deep breath and say this is heaven.

Go on.

Do it.

I just wanted to write a small blurb. Do you mind?

I did not think so.

Thank You God, for sending Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. I was not yet alive, but you KNEW I needed that done. I could not imagine, the pain and anguish Jesus went through. Yet, he did just so that I 2009 years later, would be going to Heaven. I believe we are really in the last days as we know them. I am so ready for Christ to come right now!

I am thankful for such wonderful programs such as RUI. Click on the link either the one I just posted or the one that will be in side bar to understand what that program is. It is so much more then having addictions to drugs or alcohol. It is for folks that have strongholds. Strongholds can be anything, some examples could include: anger, procrastination, over-eating, smoking, or any number of what you struggle with. It really does help you get into your bible and learn how to walk with Christ. It really is a great program. So if you are struggling, check it out. I urge you to do so. It is life changing. It has changed my life. It has even changed my husband's and my children's lives. Without a doubt, this is a much better program then NA and AA. I have been apart of both of those. RUI is the largest faith based program in the US. You can find a list of where the programs are held via the website. They even have an online forum, if you can not find one near you.

I am so thankful for my husband. My husband grounds me, he keeps me humble. He loves me unconditionally. Like I love him. Even when I mess up as a wife, and let me tell you, that is an almost daily thing, he just loves me and forgives me.

I am thankful that God sent me such wonderful friends. I have a few good friends that I just adore and love. We have fun together and we are so similar in a lot of ways. Then I have a few friends who are much wiser then I(and older, I might add), so different then I, but we click. They truly love the Lord, you can just see it in their walk. The one I am currently thinking about, she is a single mama to some children. Those children just love their mom, and she loves them. I love spending time with her and I take with me how to be a better mama, I do not think she truly knows what a blessing she is to me. I do not see her as often as I would like, especially now that I have moved, and I miss her very much. So, my friend ( I wont make her go pink in the cheeks her by naming her) I love you and thank God daily for you.

Forgiveness

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

We all know this familiar passage. Peter is asking Jesus, how many times should we forgive a brother and can I say sister, he asked how many times do we forgive the person who has done us wrong.
What did Jesus tell him?
Let's take a look.
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
70x7. That is a large number. So basically Jesus is telling us, we need to forgive our brethren over and over again.

What? I know I can hear it. How can I forgive so and so for raping me? How can I forgive so and so for killing my family or friend? How can I forgive my husband for cheating on me? How can I forgive my wife for sleeping around on me? How can I forgive my parents for abusing me? How can I forgive myself for eating that extra ho ho on my diet? How can I forgive my child for breaking that expensive family heirloom. How can I forgive God for allowing abortion? How can I forgive.........? How do we? How can we really forgive those trespasses? Those above are all strong issues that some of us have gone through, there are smaller issues out there that also hold back a person. Such as, how can I forgive our local gossip? How can I forgive the person who stole from me? How can I forgive the person for jumping in front of me in line? See what I mean, from the large trespasses to the small trespasses. How do we forgive? Well, do you believe in God? Do you believe the bible to be true?
God tells us, if we hold hate in our heart, we are committing murder against this person.

Once we accept Christ as our Saviour, God forgives us, each of us. We no longer have to worry about being judged for our sin. If God can do that, why can we not? I mean, I know it and understand it, it is hard to forgive someone who has done harm to you or your family. It is so freeing to forgive, then it is to hold on to the anger. If we have not forgiven the person, then yes we are still angry. Is it worth it to be angry?
Even when Jesus was on the cross and the people were doing evil things to him, he said, Father forgive them, for they know not what they do. This man was bloodied and had nails in his hands and feet and in his side, yet he says forgive them..... Forgive them....

Ephesians 4:32

³²And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Colossians 1:14

¹⁴In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 3:13

¹³Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

To End this, Sister, if you are not forgiving someone, you are holding hatred in your heart for this person. Really pray on it. Search out God and forgive. It is very sweet not to be angry anymore.

I have a great life. No we are not rich, however, our bills are usually getting paid each month. We have food on the table and clothes on our backs. That is a great life.

I have great children. They are obedient and even when they are not, they are still great. They are loving and caring, even to those who are "not like them" That is a great life.

I have a great husband. Though we might not always agree, he still allows me to express my opinion. He is still a great husband. He loves the Lord and admits to his wrong doings. He is a great husband. That is a great life.

I have a great church, it might be small but we are new and that is awesome. I am thankful for a Pastor who loves his congregation and loves to tell others about Christ! That is a great life.

I have a great home! It is small and we are crammed in here, but it is very easy to keep clean. We live in a good neighbor hood. That is a great life.

I have a great God! God is so awesome, he forgives me when I make a boo boo, he loves me even when I know I must grieve him at times.. He is a great God!

This is my princess, she is 4 years old. We have had since was 12 weeks old.

She is my baby... She does not always look so groomed, usually Casey and I groom the dogs. We felt bad for her, so we took her to a beauty salon (for dogs) and got her all spiffied up.. Our next monster goes soon. He is our beast.

President Obama shares a laugh with Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show'

While Rome is burning, Nero is playing the fiddle on late-night television.

I know it's easy to tune out — especially on a Friday when you probably just want to order a pizza and watch basketball — but that's just what people are counting on.

If you want some real "March madness," just look at some of this week's fires:

• Big United Nations members — including Russia and (surprise, surprise) the French — have called for an end to the dollar and suggested a global currency.

• The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office now estimates that our budget is $1.5 trillion more than their estimate from just a few weeks ago.

• The Fed is pumping another $1 trillion into the system by buying debt from our treasury.

• Our government is shredding the Constitution by using the IRS as a weapon to target specific individuals with a 90 percent tax!

• According to USA Today, 11.2 percent of veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan are now unemployed.

• We've now lost a million jobs in two months.

But while all of those historic things are happening, President Obama is fiddling like... well, like a very famous fiddler who's name I would love to know right now.

He's ranting about AIG bonuses that his administration had a part in authorizing; he's filling out NCAA brackets; he's working on his bowling technique; his wife is planting gardens at the White House, and then he goes on "The Tonight Show," apparently to demonstrate that the economy has now been fixed and we can all laugh about how close we came to disaster.

(I wonder if the millions who are out of work find it funny?)

No other sitting president has ever gone on "The Tonight Show" before and it's possible that no other sitting president has ever been this out of touch.

In 1947, two years after world war II ended there were 20 million small gardens in the United States. They provided 40% of the produce in the American Diet. The gardens started during the depression. During the war, they were called “Victory Gardens.” Even the first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, had a garden.

I grew up in a garden; we grew tomatoes and zucchini. By age seven, I knew how to remove the suckers from the tomato vines, how to pull weeds and how to pinch off the multiple yellow blossoms. Blossoms had to be 4 inches from each other to get the largest fruits.

The people in Kirkwood, Missouri liked large tomatoes and zucchinis. When the depression started in 1929, the city fathers’ got together and declared that “No one in Kirkwood would go hungry.” They organized the town and, “though,” as my grandfather said, “the whole damn town of 18, 000 didn’t have $500 between them,” no one went hungry.

Next door to me was the lettuce lady. In her flowerpots, she grew all the lettuces, spinach, chards and greens. She used flowerpots to keep the snails and caterpillars off her plants. When we wanted to make sandwiches or a salad, my mother would send me off with a scissors to Mrs. Ball’s house and I would carefully snip off the outer leaves and bring them home to wash and put on the sandwich or in the salad. The shortest food chain in the world. I never saw lettuce in a ball ‘till I was a teenager and a supermarket came to town. What’s more, Mrs. Ball just loved my tomatoes and zucchini. I was so proud when I took them to her. They were my greatest accomplishments in my young life. Across the street was the onion lady. She grew every onion, chive, shallot and garlic known to mankind at the time. She sprouted them in her basement and people picked them up for their own gardens in the spring. Grandpa Van raised chickens and rabbits and had fruit trees - apples, apricots and a cherry tree that was in the back of the chicken yard. Every time a cherry fell off the tree, the chickens would race over to eat it. Gustof Franks had the two cows and we traded him eggs for milk and butter.

No one threw anything away. Table scraps and other uneaten food would go in the “slop” bucket. Neighbors came by and threw them to the chickens while they picked up a few eggs. The tops of carrots and lettuce scraps and greens went to the rabbits.

There was a trading system. A basket of apples could be traded for a skinned rabbit or a basket of grapes or apricots. An apple pie could be traded for milk or eggs. Another man grew corn. He had about 10 rows and he cracked some for my grandfather to feed to the chickens. He also gave it to the women who headed the canning committee. For his fresh corn, he could get canned peaches, applesauce, canned corn, potatoes or apricot syrup. Oh yes, we had potato people. They had raised beds and raised potatoes better than any I’ve ever tasted in my life. And there were peas, beans, and herbs. Everyone grew something, raised something and traded something. My other grandfather, although a natural stone quarryman, also kept beehives. A pint of honey went a long way in trade, as did a full honeycomb. Once every two months our butcher would take some meat or fish: pig, calf, chickens or rabbits into Saint Louis and trade for salt, flour, coffee, paraffin and soap.

And then there was hunting. The men went hunting on Saturday and whatever they shot, quail, rabbits, possum or deer, was eaten on Sunday. There was also the Merrimac and Mississippi river to fish in. Catfish, Sunfish, and Perch. They could be traded for canned fruits, vegetables, eggs, you name it.

I don’t think I ate an orange till I was almost twelve, after the war, and I marveled at this miraculous fruit, and then I was even more astounded with bananas. I was so used to this culture that after the war when I heard that the Greeks and the Russians and the Chinese were starving, I wondered, innocently why they didn’t plant gardens. Even today, when I hear that one in 8 children goes to school hungry, when I hear pleas for food donations for the poor, I wonder why we don’t have community gardens. Instead of talking on phones or watching TV or playing video games, couldn’t the children use their energy to weed the garden and harvest the food?

So, plant a garden and tell your neighbor to plant a garden and share. Mobile Home Parks and Apartment Complexes could create community gardens. Why waste the gas to have your tomatoes shipped in from California or Mexico when they can be grown just as easily in your backyard and taste much better picked off the vine.

They say dark days lie ahead for the economy. But, whatever happens, we don’t have to go hungry. We can feed ourselves. Come on my Beloved Country, let’s get organized. Let’s start digging. Let’s do something economically beneficial, wonderful, brilliant and powerful. Let’s all plant gardens.

I love to shop, I really do. Shopping is SO fun. Want to know where my favorite shopping place is?

Katie and her mom Cindy are the neatest people. I *heart* them. I really do! Are their clothing modern? No. Are they beautiful? Yes! Are they comfortable? YES! Are they modest? YES!!! I have several jumpers from Katie's Mercantile. I also have a slip and a nightgown and a couple of dresses. I love them all.

Coming up is their Semi-Annual get together. I finally went to the one in the Fall and it was beautiful! They have a beautiful home. Well Cindy does, not sure about Katie. I bet she has a nice home too.

I love having that play list over there on the sidebar. It is a neat addition to my blog. I tend to turn it on and listen to it while I am working on school work. Sisters, I did turn off the automaticness of the player. I was on a blog the other day, that was playing music that , well. I just could NOT allow my ears to hear. It came on automatic and it was just not pleasing. As I know one of my friends does not like it to be automatic, I changed it.

When you are unable to sleep?

That is me, I am afraid. I can not sleep. I thought I would jump on here and check out my bloglines and see what some of you are up to.

I am now going to go and read my bible and do some praying. I do that always helps me relax and fall asleep. Nothing like reading in 1 Chronicles to get a girl to sleep.

Do not get me wrong, God's word is never boring, but, it does help relax a soul and I rather have the last thing on the brain, reading the Word, then turning on the box and watching some nasty commercial. Who needs informercials anyways.

What do you do to help relax you if you can not sleep. I usually take Melatonin if I remember to take it early enough. But, taking it after you can not fall asleep at 1:20 am is not a smart thing to do. I will never get up to be with my children. I have a long day tomorrow. I have school, children school. I need to go do some laundry and I need to take my dog to the groomers. I also need to work on some memorization with the children. They need to memorize Psalms 139. They also have to memorize something for Sunday School. Not including our regular RU stuff. Busy Busy Busy little Bee's we are!

I am going to read "Created to be His Helpmeet" By Debi Pearl. Yea I have read this before. I am going to read it again. It was good to read before and I am sure it will be good to read once more. If anyone wants to join me, I am hoping to do a chapter by chapter review on here. That is the hope anyways. We shall see if I can stick with it. Anyone up to the challenge of reading it with me? I have not made a menu since we moved. It has costed more money to eat then it should have. I hate it when things cost more then they should. Dontya?

Sunday: Fellowship Meal, Chicken Pot Pie ( dairy free ) We will just have pb and j when we get home that evening for lunch.

Our Sloppy Joe's is just basically taking ground beef cooked. Drain, in the same pan, dump ketchup and brown sugar to taste. You want enough ketchup to make a sauce. I would guesstimate it to be 2 cups give or take some. 1/2 cup of brown sugar. It depends on your taste.

I just either put it over noodles or on some toasted buns.

Oven Spaghetti

I have this awesome cookbook from MOMYS. It is just great I tell ya... At church, we have a fellowship meal each week. So, this week I am bringing Oven Spaghetti. I am sharing the recipe with you.

Oven Spaghetti

1-lb Ground Beef

1/4 cup Onion Chopped

1/2 tsp Garlic salt or powder.

2 tsp Chili Powder

dash cayenne pepper, optional

1 can of Cream of Mushroom or Chicken Soup

1 can of Tomato Soup

2 cans of Water

1/2 lb Spaghetti Noodles, broken into smaller pieces

6 slices of Velvetta or American Cheese

Brown ground beef in skillet with onion. Drain. Add garlic powder or salt, chili powder, cayenne pepper, cream of mushroom/chicken soup, tomato soup and 2 soup cans of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover and summer for 10-15 minutes.

Grease the bottom of a 9x13 pan or casserole and place uncooked noodles in. Cover with sauce and stir. Cover and bake at 350 degree oven for 30-45 minutes or until spaghetti is cooked. Stir and place cheese slices on top. Cook uncovered until cheese is melted, 10-15 minutes longer.

This looks yummy!

My Husband!

My husband is my best friend. My friend Vicky encouraged me to write about my darling. My husband is a jack of all trades. He can do just about anything that he puts his mind to. We have a wonderful relationship. We work together to make our marriage work. He has been home for a few months now due to unemployment. He helps me around the house and he helps me do the children's schooling. If someone were to call, he goes and helps them as well. He loves to work and he hates to sit.

I love my husband more then anything outside of my love affair with God. He loves God and lives to serve Him. He is my all and all and God gave him to me.

"Have You Been Born Again?"

You can know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are going to Heaven. God tells us so in His word. The question is, do you believe the bible to be true? Do you believe that God gave us His Word? Good works alone will not enter you into His kingdom. You must be born again. Below, you can know.

"Have You Been Born Again?"

Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). Later He told his disciples, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2). God's word assures us of heaven, but it also warns us of a place of torment. Revelation 20:15 says, "...whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." God doesn't want anyone to spend eternity in hell. We are told that He is "...not willing that any should perish..." (II Peter 3:9).

The Apostle John writes, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God: that ye may know that ye have eternal life..." (I John 5:13). God has provided everything we need to spend eternity in heaven with Him!

The Bible tells us the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch as he was reading about Jesus from the book of Isaiah, "And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understand thou what thou readest?" And he said, "How can I, except some man should guide me?..." (Acts 8:30-31).

This booklet is designed to "...guide you into all truth..." (John 16:13). Our hope is that you will choose to be born again, so that you will see the kingdom of God.

God is Holy

God cannot tolerate sin because of His holiness - He is completely without any wrong. Many people only think of sin as a type of crime-something done against society. Sin is more than a crime, it is transgression against God. Even though you may be a very moral person, the Bible says that you are still a sinner. "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one..." (Romans 3:10). "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).

Is it enough to try to keep the commandments? No. "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all" (James 2:10).

What is the end result of sin? Spiritual death. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

God is Just

The Bible tells us that hell will be a terrible place. It will be filled with anguish and pain beyond any human's comprehension. Jesus told his disciples that "The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:41-42).

What happens to a person without Christ after death? They will go to hell. "But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath powet to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him" (Luke 12:5)

What cleanses us from all sin? The shed blood of Jesus Christ. When John the Baptist first saw Jesus he proclaimed, "...Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29). Jesus Christ was the final and ultimate sacrifice. The blood from His sacrifice doesn't cover our sin, it totally cleanses us of our sin. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (I John 1:7).

Is there any other payment for sin? No. "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood there is not remission" (Hebrews 9:22).

Is there anything a person can do to pay for sin? No. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Why did Jesus give His life? Because of His love for people. "For God sent not his Son into the World to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:17).

God is Love

Is Jesus the only way to salvation? Yes. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

Is God's love for everyone? Yes. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

What are God's conditions for having everlasting life? Believing in His Son. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" (Joh 3:36).

Will Jesus ever turn someone away? No. "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will no wise cast out" (John 6:37).

The Bible tells us, "Therefore if any many be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passew away; behold, all things are become new" (II Corinthians 5:17). When a person accepts Jesus Christ as his personal Savior he is born again. Spiritually, he is born from above and becomes a member of God's family. The Bible states, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on the his name" (John 1:12).

God's Path

What must a person need to do in order to be born again? Simply repent, believe, ask, and receive.

1) You must repent

To repent is to see your condition as God sees it and to express sorrow. In this case, you repent of your sin. "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation..." (II Corinthians 7:10). You must admit to God that you are a sinner deserving of hell because of your sin.

Repentance is also a sincere turning away from sin to God. The Bible states "...that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance" (Acts 26:20).

2) You must believe

Believing is more than just acknowledging that Jesus Christ exists. The Bible says "...the devils also believe, and tremble" (James 2:19). True believing is placing your complete confidence in Him and His ability to save you. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). You must believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross to save you. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness..." (Romans 10:9-10).

3) You must ask

Believing is more than just acknowledging that Jesus Christ exists. The Bible says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). To call upon the Lord is to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and save you from an eternity in hell. You must pray and ask for "...with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10).

4) You must receive

To receive something you must take it. Salvation is offered as a free gift from God. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

The Bible says, "For by grace are ye saved... it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8). Like any gift, it is not yours until you receive it. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12). You must pray and tell the Lord that you wish to receive His wonderful gift of eternal life!

The Time is Now!

You have come to the place in your life where you must make a decision. If you choose to accept the payment made by the Lord Jesus Christ for your sin, then you simply need to bow your head and pray. Tell Jesus, in your own words, that you are sorry for your sin and ask Him to forgive you and save you from hell. Tell Him you are willing to receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Let Him know you want to accept His gift of eternal life. Remember, Jesus Christ never turns anyone away!

"The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (II Peter 3:9)

We can know, if you have read thus far, let me give you an example. An analogy if you will. My pastor gave this one to Casey and he told me it as well.

Take a chair that you are sitting on right now reading this, you knew that sitting down it was going to hold you and not collapse. Right? You did not have to think about it. You had faith that it would hold you up. So why not have the same faith in God and His word?

Baptism

I talked about my daughter's Baptism. Here are the photo's from there.

I am also going to give a short testimony about it.

Casey thought she had gotten saved a couple of years ago. I really thought she was saved as well. She had a transformation from the old girl to a new girl. She was so different. She was more obedient to her father and I. She read her bible more, she was just good.

Then one Sunday morning, Valerie from church gave a small testimony about her salvation. She had thought she was saved. She had the knowledge. It was all in her head. She knew Christ, but she did not KNOW Christ in her heart. Casey realized that she shared the same testimony. Casey agonized over her salvation almost the entire week. She was not 100% sure that if she were to die she would have a home in Heaven. She was scared. She talked with our Pastor, as well as the myself and her dad all week.

That Thursday evening after dinner, after she had talked with pastor and he gave her a great faith based analogy about a chair. She realized she too had just had the head knowledge of Christ. She had Him in her head, but not in her heart. That night, she and I read in our bibles and prayed. She accepted Christ in her heart.

The next step after salvation is Baptism. Baptism is not salvation. Baptism will not save you. It is an obedience step that Christians should take after their salvation. Casey took that step. The water was not even room temp, it was chilly. As Pastor stated, it was clingy. LOL.

The above photo's are from her Baptism, Valerie and Jessica also had their Baptisms. Jessica was the smart one, she went first. She got to dry off with a dry towel. Casey was last and had a wet one to dry off with. Only one of them brought a towel. Casey.

Amazing Grace

I know many in my "realm" of friends may not like that I have Leaanna Rhymes singing it, however, listen to her sing it. I was so blessed to hear her sing it. On a Search and Other Things

I am on a search for a downloadable KJV (has to be the KJV) bible program for my computer. E-sword was my favorite, however that will just not work on my computer. See, I have a Mac. I knew when I got the thing, finding programs would not be an easy thing. I am great with that and all.... Of course till I went searching to find a downloadable bible program. Sure I can use websites, but just not the same if you know what I mean..... So if you have a Mac and have a desktop FREE bible thingy, leave me a comment!!

Now on to the other thing. I am a photoaholic, Feel sorry for my precious children, I tell ya.

They bear the brunt of the addiction. I have said, I was not going to post photo's of my children. I LOVE to show off my precious gifts from God. They are so cheeky and cute!

So, I am going break my own newish rule. I *heart* my children. Who can blame me? God is awesome!

It is official, my children officially think I have lost my marbles. I was singing this song yesterday and they sure did not believe me, it is really a song.... So, what does a good and joyful mom do, Why, I google the song and get the lyrics.

On Top of Spaghetti

My friends that know me well, know that I am in love with taking pictures. My favorite thing to take photo's of are my children, and then anything outside my window goes. I really love taking photo's of any parks we enter into, wildlife, and scenic things such as sunsets and sun rises. I *heart* my camera. I have a rebel XSi, or know outside of the US as the Canon 450d.

It takes amazing photo's when the handler (me) actually pays attention to what she is doing.

If God created it, I want to photograph it. So, outside of photo's of my family, I will do my best to upload them here for you to enjoy or critic if you want!

I do not have any for you today, I have a ton of my children, including the recent baptism of my daughter the Princess, but those will have to await! For those that read and did not know, my daughter recently realized she was not saved and so therefore she did get saved and therefore got baptized.

Amen!

We have a local church in the area that I just love the architecture of. So I snapped a photo of it today. It was way too cold and snowy for a good photo. I also used the wrong lens. I should have used another. Live and Learn.

I am not Catholic, I just love how this building looks.
